Common checks every Indian car owner should know
Engine Oil
Change every 5,000-10,000 km or 6 months. Check level monthly.
Coolant
Check level monthly. Flush every 2 years or 40,000 km.
Tyres
Check pressure weekly. Rotate every 10,000 km. Replace at 40,000-60,000 km.
Battery
Typical life 3-5 years. Check terminals for corrosion every 6 months.
Air Filter
Replace every 15,000-25,000 km. More often in dusty conditions.
Brakes
Check pads every 20,000 km. Replace brake fluid every 2 years.
Cabin filter
Replace every 10,000–20,000 km or yearly. Improves AC airflow and reduces dust and odours.
Wiper blades
Replace yearly or when streaking. Clean the rubber with a damp cloth before monsoon.
Brake fluid
Absorbs moisture over time. Change about every 2 years or per manual; dark fluid needs attention.
